Amazing Lace

Lacing is an ancient craft, traditionally was used to make tablecloths and doilies but today it is one of the hottest trends. I have seen lace every where lately. So many designers are doing lace dress, tops, shoes, handbags, sunglasses(spotted on celebrities such as Lady Gaga and Rihanna), and one of most favorite finds isssssssss lace as nail art. This latest trend can be spotted in seen in high end department stores such as Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales, Saks Fifth Avenue and I have also seen lace in the more consumer friendly it in Forever 21, DOTS, Charlotte Russe, and Target.
I personally think that lace is timeless because its soft feminine, but for those of you think it will disappear by time next year may not want to spend such a pretty penny on some of the more expensive items.
GLAMOUR IS ACCESSIBLE TO EVERYONE!

Here comes the bride

With wedding season approaching I wanted to dedicate this post to soon to brides. When I first gave thought to my wedding day look I knew that I wanted to be very glamourous and timeless.  I sought after the dresses that would make me feel that way and to show off my trendy style. On my wedding day I wore a dress by Sherri Hill Style number 2223( This style number is embedded in my brain because I called so many stores looking for it). The dress is made of tulle and fully covered in rosettes( which are very trendy right now). This dress is usually sold for $625 it comes in pink, red, and white. I purchased the dress in white and later had it dyed to a candlelight white/ ivory. So that brought my total to $825, the shoes I wore by Nina $99.95, my veil was purchased at David's Bridal for $129, hair and make-up was free and I purchased my earrings from a thrift store for about $20.

My dress with custom sweetheart neckline and I added a bustle to the train
Nina Erna Pump $99.95
Hair curled by Bridesmaid = FREE and Make-up by Me = FREE

Me a Happy BRIDE!

Welcome

I'm so excited to share some of my time and some of the things that I think are glamourous and show you that you have ACESS to so many GLAMOROUS things. Its not always about how much you spent on it, who the designer is, or most importantly what anybody else thinks.  The last time I blogged was solely for the purpose of sharing my life as a soon to be bride. Well I got married on October 17, 2010. Oh and by the way I was a VERY glamourous bride, but now I am focused on being a successful business women  and a boutique owner in 2011.

Next post: With wedding season approaching my next post will be about how I spent a little under $1500(unbelievable I know) for my dress, shoes, veil, hair, jewelry, and make-up
